Kinesiology is a holistic therapy that combines ancient wisdom and modern science to bring balance to the body’s physical, emotional, and mental states. It focuses on the natural healing power of movement and energy, helping individuals restore harmony in their lives. Kinesiology uses muscle testing to identify imbalances and support the body’s self-healing processes.
Kinesiology was developed by American chiropractors who expanded on osteopathy, a method pioneered in the 19th century by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. One of Still’s students, Daniel David Palmer, founded chiropractic care in 1895. Inspired by his own healing experiments—such as restoring a deaf patient’s hearing by adjusting a vertebra—Palmer laid the foundation for what would evolve into kinesiology.
